FAQs

How much does it cost to list my business?

A standard listing costs just $1 AUD per month, or $10 upfront for a full year — saving you $2. That’s it. No hidden fees or commissions, premium tiers, or paying extra for visibility. To keep things fair, we want every business on Trusty Tradies to get the same exposure.

Your listing includes your business name and logo, a photo gallery, website and social media links, phone number, email address, and a business bio.

Need help putting it together? Our optional Listing Optimisation Service is a one-off $55 fee. We’ll write and optimise your bio for better visibility on Trusty Tradies and in Google, then send it to you for approval before we go live.

Do you list businesses outside Australia?

Not currently. Trusty Tradies is an Australian business directory and all listings must be for businesses operating within Australia. We vet listings ensure their business legitimacy and to remove anything adult-related, spammy, or unverifiable. Locals can trust what they find here.
How does getting listed help my Google ranking?

When your business appears in online business directories like Trusty Tradies, Google takes that as a signal your business is legitimate and established. Each directory listing acts as a backlink, which is a reference from another website pointing back to yours. This is known as link building: the practice of earning links from reputable sites to improve your visibility in search results. The more quality backlinks your website has, the more credible Google considers it, and the better your chances of appearing when someone nearby searches for what you do.

A $1/month listing on Trusty Tradies is one of the most cost-effective ways to start building that online presence.
Can I advertise on Trusty Tradies beyond my directory listing?

Yes. Alongside your directory listing, Trusty Tradies offers a limited number of sponsored ad placements for businesses wanting more prominent exposure.

Sponsored ads appear on the homepage, at the bottom of blog posts, in the sidebar, and in our newsletter. Ad placements cost $30 per month on a 12-month agreement, billed via direct debit. You supply the artwork (we’ll provide specs), or take advantage of our free design offer available to the first 20 sponsors.

Spots are limited, so if you’re interested, reach out sooner rather than later.
I'm a homeowner. Is Trusty Tradies free to use?

Yes, completely. Searching the Trusty Tradies directory is free for homeowners and anyone looking for a local tradie or service provider. Browse by category and location, compare your options, and contact whoever looks like the right fit, no account needed.

We also offer a range of free marketing resources for tradies in our blog, The Toolbox. All handy reading whether you’re a business owner or just want to understand how to get more from the tradespeople you hire.
